It is the 14th day, of the 7th month, in the turn 428 post Thread(pt).
And the weather forecast is clear for most of Southern.

Landing Lake
The lake is wide and deep just right for dragons to take a dip. Awash with every shade of blue imaginable, ranging from deep lush sapphire blue to bright clear topaz the lake entices one to take a swim or just sit and rest on it's banks. Calming and serene the waters of the lake gently lap at the lake shore, seeming to play catch_me_if_you_can with the sand on the shore edge.
It is a crisp clear winter afternoon in the warm ocean.
Katherine and Coriianna are here.
Obvious exits:

Katherine just looked at you.
Katherine smiles, "H'llo."

Katherine
Long onyx hair hangs just below her hips. Woven into it's length are strands of gold, silver and green cords. The sides slightly billow out slightly to shade her face. Violet eyes sparkle with their own ambience. Ovoid face, maintains a fair complexion. Crimson lips curl in a quaint smile, overshadowed by a slightly regal nose.
Her shoulders are narrow as they should be, slender arms do show signs of some form of laborous work. Her hips narrow into a everpresent hour glass figure. Bossom gently slopes outwards from her body.
Perhaps the most auspicious part of her is her legs. For her short stature, her legs are seemingly long and slender. Ending at petite feet.
Katherine stands a whopping 163 cm give or take a cm.
Upon her head is a snood made of cream coloured cord and tightly laced in the back. Around her neck is a black leather chocker with a dragon claw pendant dangling from it. Dressed in a simple long sleeved cream coloured shirt, with a black bodice pushing up her bossom in a most comfortable fashion is tied in the front. The ensamble is matched with a earthly brown skirt that breaks in the front reveling another skirt of soft crimson. Soft brown suede calf length boots adorn her feet. Running up the back of the boots are short lengths of suede straps.
She is awake and looks alert.

Coriianna says, "Hello"

Coriianna
Cor is a very tall young woman. Her golden hair is caught back in a braid that goes all the way down the middle of her back, but is always trying to get loose. Deep blue eyes twinkle with mischief as she gives you a friendly smile. She doesn't have a spare ounce of fat on her, but plenty of muscle, implying she does hard work for a living. She holds herself with confidence, but not arrogance. She knows who she is, where she's going, and how she's getting there. She appears to be 16 turns, 1 month, 1 day old.
Cor is wearing a white, short-sleeved linen blouse over light blue cotton trousers. Black leather workboots come up to her knees.
She is awake and looks alert.

Coriianna just looked at you.

Zarvind looks around, "Hello," he cautiously repeats, then: "Is someone there?"

Zarvind
A mop of black caps an awkward seeming demeanour, dripping askew over one ear in unpractised roguishness. Grey eyes and clipped chin straggle casually together with the rest of this youth's sturdy but slightly lanky form, long legs claiming a striding gait as an obscure slur marks alto voice.
Pragmatic brown clads Zarvind, wrapping over torso to meet pants of a lighter shade. Grime greases his boots, clapped tight for utility, on wherhide singed a dark cinnamon.

He is awake and looks alert.

Katherine grins then peeks up from behind a log, "Nobody but us wherries."

Coriianna peers. "Are we not here?"

Zarvind plashes a hand through the shallows, glancing askance at the 'wherries'. "Well, nice to meet you. Scare anyone away yet?" Besides him. Some more splashing; damp hand wipes across forehead. "Hope you don't own the lake, because I'm borrowing it for a while."

Katherine arches a brow, "Own the lake? That's silly." She glances at Coriianna, "You own the lake?"

Coriianna shakes her head. "I own a runner, don't own a lake."
Coriianna grins evilly. Best not to ask how she got her runner, either.

"You got a runner? Oh, it's been so long since I've ridden one.", Katherine says dreamily.

Zarvind approves of runners. "Those are fine for travelling, and earn a good mark too." He carries the grin from water to shore, kicking out at weeds, soil, and rock. Idly, too idly.

Katherine stands up slowly then steps over the log and sits down, "Hi, I'm Katherine by the way." Her toes dig into the sand feeling it's grainniness.

Zarvind accompanies the rock, but a foot strays over to log-side. He smiles affably down at the young woman. "Katherine, I'm Zarvind." Whereabouts had better be left unsaid.

Coriianna nods. "I'm Cor, incidentally. Yes, Starlight's a good racing runner. He's for the endurance races, though."

Katherine smiles, "Well met Zarvind." She leans over and filters some sand through her fingers, "Sand...How's the water?"

Zarvind is a mixture of boredom, gaucheness and plain lethargy. He drawls simply from the unassuming sprawl on makeshift seat. "Used to work with runners, me and Fal ...I know 'em. I know them well. Workbeasts, not racers though." He drifts a look to the water. "Cold."

Coriianna shrugs. "My home hold in Dorado raises runners, you see. They specialize in racers. I'm up here 'cause the tech can't teach me any more. Or at least so he says."

Katherine blinks then smiles, "Racers or not they are wonderful creatures to behold." Her attention sways to Cori, "Jays, really? That's a pretty good compliment."

Zarvind mutters to the runner expert here, "Maybe, maybe, he probably didn't want to teach you everything. My teacher didn't, and I know for sure he has credentials in there." He taps a finger meaningfully on the cap o' skull, flashing a smug smile.

Coriianna's eyes twinkle with mischief. "Well, he wasn't very forthcoming, let's put it that way," she says with a grin. "I had to make him teach me anything by taking apart his CPU one night."

Katherine laughs, "Now that's funny." Slipping off the log and onto the sand, "The heavens are like the beaches, so many grains of sand and so little time to ponder every one of them."

Zarvind is on the cusp of being beaten; the grin creeps away. Grudgingly, he nods to Cor. "Yours was a master of the craft itself?" Eyes travel to Katherine; hooded.

Katherine looks up, "Oh, sorry. Just meandering." Cautiously she stands up slowly then dusts the bits of sand from herself, "I don't know about you two, but I could use something to eat."

Coriianna nods. "Well, he was a combo crafter, smith and techie. They needed somebody to shoe the runners and keep in touch, and he has family there. Got married, settled down, had umpty-ump kids."

Zarvind grates a palm 'cross his blank look, commenting, "Yeah, we all know the type. Know everything there is to know on the land. You have food, crafter?" Watching Katherine and the sand, he adds, "Nothing to worry about here, I'm practically knotless at the moment. Practically."

Katherine walks over to Cori and whispers something to her.

Zarvind sits in blissful ignorance. He nudges at a green clump, then shifts to eyeing the girls.
Blankly, of course.

Coriianna shrugs. "All I've got is a piece of paper that tells them I'm there to be trained. If they don't want me, I suppose I just go back home, anyway."

Katherine shakes her head, "I've certainly don't have any food about me." She rubs her eyes for a moment then smiles, "Well, Cori, if they don't they don't. But then you could always convice them it would be to their benefit."

Zarvind enjoys the bleak staring for a moment's pause, until he voices his bit. The part about food. "Are there fish in there, do you think?"

Coriianna grins. "Or else I shut down something of theirs?" She laughs.

Lips twist cordially to Cor. "If that'd get us food, go ahead." Ah yes, Zar -was- listening after all.

Coriianna shakes her head at Zarvind. "No, I've been hunting my food all the way through, might be fish, though." She pulls out some string and a bit of metal, which she starts bending to suit her purposes.

Katherine glances over to the water, "Hmmm, don't know. I'm not really from around these parts." Her eyes narrow, "Oh, they'ld certainly love that." Now, her attention is drawn to what Cori is doing, cleaver girl that one.

Zarvind points an amiable scowl to the lake. "Just what I was going to do," he proclaims, and promptly puts himself into a crouch before the water. "Try here; I haven't got any material available today."

Coriianna, finished with her bending, pokes at the ground a bit, coming up with a fat, juicy grub, which she spears with her bit of metal, picks up a likely stick, and attaches her bit of string to it. Voila, homemade fishing pole. She sticks something else from her pocket on part of the string for a floater, and moves over to the water.

Zarvind sweeps to his feet, upsetting a pebble or two. "Uh- sorry, you two. I have --matters to attend to." In the process of waving himself out, the youth sends a parting shot. "Enjoy the fish, if you get any."

Public Beach
Fine crystal fragments intermingle with the golden sands of the public beach, sparkling brightly when the suns rays shine upon it.Wide and long the beach allows plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy it, while the azure waves of the lake lap gently at the shore, beckoning bathers to dip their feet in its cooling waters. Off towards the west is the mountain while lush fields surround the lake on all sides.
It is a crisp clear winter evening in the warm ocean.
