Zarvind was a product of my own improvisation, based on real folk I know and archetypal types.  He began a rogue in all senses, a character who wandered from M* to M* in search of a place where the player could settle him for good.  Threadfall MUSH was just opening then and accepted the player and character as a Southern-born son of traders.   Thus began the long journey begun in the Ista Weyr living caverns one day, passing on into a surprise candidacy, weyrlinghood, then shaky riderhood as Wingrider in a place he never was sure of.

Logs ( 0 1 2 3)

Boy on the Move (January 22, 2000)
Zarvind makes his entrance in the player's imagination, on some other lonely planet Pern, where he makes new acquaintances by a lake.

Shipwreck's Survivor (May 20, 2000)
A crashed ship brings Zarvind and his kin to Ista Isle, where they take refuge in the Weyr and meet the local inhabitants.

Slavery! (May 22, 2000)
Gaming gets Zar into unwonted trouble, breaking the serenity of a stretch of Istan beach.  Laira and Bil the NPCs cameo as fellow trinket salesmen.

Guys 'n Gals (June 11, 2000)
Zarvind meets his match in the form of his ex-master, Belena, and a new friend.  The scene is set in the bathing pools, with a couple of embarrassed adolescents.   Mild innuendo involved.  Parental guidance advised.

Caught in the Act? (June 13, 2000)
Can this be Zar?  Working?  Catch this amazing snippet in which the youth looks to be doing his chores.
